Originally one of the most powerful castles in the area during the Middle Ages, it was rebuilt in the late 15th century by Guy de Beaumanoir. His son, Jean III de Beaumanoir, was made a marquis by King Henry IV, standing by his side during Ravaillac's assassination attempt.

Abandoned by later successors, the old castle was converted into a farm after the Revolution. The current manor, a large yet simple 15th-century building, stands on the site of the original keep. It features mullioned windows, remnants of machicolations, and a square staircase tower. Recently restored by skilled craftsmen to its original state, the manor boasts a new oak framework, rebuilt solid oak tower staircase, and half-timbered walls separating the upstairs bedrooms, which retain their monumental fireplaces. The tower roof has been authentically restored with wooden shingles.

This human-sized manor offers 250 square meters of living space. The ground floor includes a spacious 75-square-meter room with two fireplaces.
